Tessa Thompson
The actress Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on the 3rd of October 1983, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of music producer and singer Marc Anthony Thompson and the niece of actor-musician Bobby Ramos. Her early years were spent in Los Angeles, before she moved to Brooklyn. Her mother has Mexican as well as British Isles roots, while her father is an African-Panamanian. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School, where she played in various theatre productions. She attended Santa Monica College after graduation and earned a cultural anthropology degree. As part of a show at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she was Juliet in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". That same year, her performance received recognition with the NAACP Theatre Nomination. Her first appearance on television was in 2005, when she appeared on CBS.
